I think there should be an arena dedicated to one player against another player. I have discussed this with a number of friends to come up with a couple idea's I will list.

Standard 1v1: This is just like random arena, you are randomly pitted against one other player. possibly in current arena's or in smaller newer ones. The loser goes back to town and the winner ends up against another player.

Duelling: You party with a player and enter a duel in a random or chosen arena against eachother. test out a biuld with a friend or prove who is the better healer/damage dealer. at end both return to town. more than likely back in the party.

Galary: This is like observer mode but it's watching a random 1v1 match that that as theres a winner, the first person/observer in queue appears at resserection spot [or some other designated spot] this will need to be fast so maybe a 5 minute time limit. This way people can watch another on a winning streak and see how to take him down. The amount of wins they have had should be displayed. When you loose maybe an option to go into the queue again or back to town. only so many people could be in these match's at ones though.

I personally am unsure if these arena's would be fair if they gave faction. The Duelling definatly isn't. So maybe faction in some or none. Rank should be given for the other two single arena's though.

To help make these 1v1's fast and fun, when your in town a little bar to change between pre-set skill bars could be helpful.

example: You come out of a mission after being the healer, on your pre-set bar #1 you have all these skills you normally use. a friend says you would be better of as a protector for the next area and you hit the button to swap to pre-set bar #2 that has all the skills you like to protect with.

This would be quite like your 4 weapons that you can change. but you could only access it in a town, outpost or guildhall. Since 4 pre-set weapons is the limit, maybe 4 pre-set skill bars would also be useful. I know myself with my E/Mo I have a Fire, water, smiting and air weapon that i swap between in town.

Dueling has been brought up many times before. I can't necessarily tell you to use your search button, as it might be disabled at the time, but that's no reason not to check the stickied Index thread that's listed as the first thread you should read before posting. This idea can be found in said stickied topic, and links to a good thread about dueling here. If you've a good idea for 1vs1 PvP, post it in that thread please.
